Some printed matter from the sixteenth century was handed down fragmentarily, which makes it very hard to identify them: what is the title, who is the author, where and when was the work published? From this book about palmistry, only two loose sheets remain which have furthermore been eaten into. The diagrams and accompanying comments show us the ongoing popularity of palmistry as a way of determining someone’s character and fate.
