The oldest technique to advertise books was to promote them in the title itself. That is how it was done when books were published without a title page. And it was still done like that in the sixteenth century, but in combination with an elaborate title page. The title of this work emphasises the pleasant and useful character of the reading material. The woodcut and the passages printed in red turn the book into a real eye-catcher.
