Luther's Book of Consolation

No votes yet

Reading was done in silence, but books were also often read aloud – to illiterate people for example. In this work by Luther, both groups are explicitly addressed. The text is meant for ‘all those who read or hear it’. Luther’s books were exchanged and discussed in groups. As a result, his ideas reached a lot more people than the number of printed copies implies.
